Significance: The Amanda Edmonds Locke Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of its namesake. Known as a compassionate nurse, talented musician and vocalist, and foremost a devoted Christian, Amanda’s unwavering faith and resilience during her four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer continues to inspire us all.

Our mission is to carry forward Amanda's legacy of compassion and care by providing scholarships in the areas of her passions. We will be awarding four one-thousand-dollar scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education in healthcare or music, areas where Amanda’s influence was profound.

Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors, current college students, and nontraditional (adult) students seeking post-secondary education at an accredited institution in the medical or musical areas of study are eligible to apply for the scholarships without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or disability. Individuals who have been awarded scholarships previously are eligible to reapply, with the understanding that it does not impact the likelihood of future awards. Members of the Edmonds/Locke family and Foundation Directors and their families are ineligible to receive any financial awards from The Amanda Edmonds Locke Foundation.
